Research Associate for Peptide and Protein Production (m/f/n)
The Company
mk2 Biotechnologies is a start-up that enables the application of peptides & proteins for mass applications. For this purpose, we combine conventional recombinant protein production with our disruptive purification toolbox to develop novel highly effective large-scale and low-cost production processes. By that, we provide the yet missing toolbox to provide techno-economically feasible products that are already on the doorstep of changing the world.
Your Role
As a permanent member of our R&D unit you will be part of our young, competent lab team sharing the passion for our technologies. We are looking for an individual with strong biotechnology expertise who is motivated to work in the lab on both a project-related and mutually supportive basis. Your Profile
Hard facts:
- Successfully completed training as a BTA/CTA, or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in molecular biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, or bioprocess engineering
- Ideally work experience in a professional molecular biology or biochemistry laboratory
- Experience with recombinant proteins and peptides, specifically with protein purification, formulation, and analytics
- Routine in molecular biology methods, e. g. PCR and cloning
- Experience in cell culture and sterile work or in fermentation process and upscaling is a plus
- Experienced handling of MS Office programs
- Good German and English skills
